Bonita Springs Communities

Barefoot Beach's residential landscape consists of single-family Gulf-front estates, single family bay-side homes with boat docks and Gulf access, townhouses villas and beautiful Gulf view mid-rise condominiums.  All of these providing variety for a tropical and relaxing Florida lifestyle.
If not situated directly on the beach, most homes are only steps away. Some homes are on navigable waterways that offer free access to the Gulf of Mexico by boat... no bridges! The neighborhood is gated, and has an optional beach, tennis and dining club, boardwalks, dockage, swimming pools, fitness clubs and gorgeous Gulf sunsets.

              

Bella Terra in Estero Florida is a 999-acre community that consists of 1,824 total residences, with single-family and multi-family homes. Many homes in Bella Terra offer views of one of more than 20 lakes and/or natural preserve areas. Estero, Florida is located north of the City of Bonita Springs and south of Fort Myers, Florida. Since 2000 Estero FL has been one of the fastest growing areas in the U.S. Estero is close to the windy sandy beaches in Bonita Springs where nature lovers find birds, turtles, manatees and various wildlife.

              

Bonita Beach, a toned-down version of its neighbor to the north, Fort Myers Beach, offers the visitor beautiful coastline combined with a quiet, homey atmosphere. Bonita Bay

Situated on 2,400 beautiful acres just north of Naples in Bonita Springs, Bonita Bay is a gated master-planned community of less than 3,300 residents.  Here you will find tree lined boulevards and intimate neighborhoods of Estate, Single family, Villa, Coach and Carriage homes as well as luxury high rise condos with stunning views of the Gulf, Estero Bay, numerous lakes, nature preserves and three equity championship courses.

Over half of the 2400 acres are dedicated to parks, lakes, nature preserves and open spaces. This community provides its residents an incredible list of amentias including three community parks, a private marina with deep water Gulf access, a private beach park, over 10 miles of bicycling, jogging and walking trails, a swim center, a 6,000 square foot world class tennis and fitness center with 13 Har-tru tennis courts of which nine are lit for night play, and even an award-winning butterfly garden.

Bonita Bay is the only community in Florida to offer five championship golf courses to its members. The classically designed 55,000 square foot main clubhouse contains one of the area's premier pro shops and serves the Marsh, Creekside and Bay Island Courses.   Amenities include a formal dining room, the casual Club Room, an intimate dining room with a fireplace and breathtaking golf course views and banquet rooms for private parties.

  

Hawthorne

Hawthorne has the look and feel of an old-fashioned American neighborhood, the kind of place where families come together to put down roots and make new friends.   Community amenities includes tennis courts, a fitness center and clubhouse - each with a swimming pool.

The villa homes of Cobblestone at Hawthorne range from 1641 to 2841 sq.ft of living space.

The Chesapeake Cove Carriage Homes at Hawthorne range from 1747 - 2296 sq. ft. of living space.

Hawthorne is located less than a 1/4 mile North of the historic area on Old US 41. Hawthorne is a convenient location to commute to work, school, medical facilities, the SW Florida International Airport and the attractions in both Ft. Myers and Naples.

    

Highland Woods

Located just off US 41, one mile north of Bonita Beach Road, Highland Woods Golf & Country Club is one of the area's most desirable and affordable gated communities.  Here you will find over 700 single family homes, villas, veranda and condominiums featuring gorgeous views of the lakes, preserves and golf course.  

Highland Woods is a bundled golf community and a full membership is included with the purchase of every home.  The 18 hole championship golf course was designed by Gordon Lewis with distances ranging from 6,791 yards from the green tees to 4,465 yards from the red.  Preserving the natural terrain, the course presents a challenge to the low handicapper while five teeing areas on every hole make it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.  Also included is an aqua driving range, short game area, practice putting green and fully stocked golf shop.

Amenities include a beautifully updated 14,000 square foot club house where residents can relax after a round of golf, game of tennis or day at the pool.  Included is a formal dining room overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, the "19th Hole" casual grill, and a fitness room.  Seven pools are scattered throughout the community and you will find four lit courts for the tennis enthusiast.  The club features numerous social and recreational activities as well as an active tennis program.

    

Hunters Ridge

Located just north of Naples off of I 75 in Bonita Springs, Hunters Ridge Golf and Country Club is a guarded gated community of 545 homes situated on 275 acres of natural beauty.  Here you will find quiet neighborhoods composed of distinctive single family, villa and coach homes with spectacular views of the rolling fairways, manicured greens, shimmering lakes and pine forest woodlands. With only two homes per acre, its low density makes for a friendly, close knit community.

The 6,366 yard 18 hole par 72 championship golf course, designed by Gordon Lewis, was ranked one of the top 15 distinctive development courses in Florida.  Carved out of towering pine and cypress wetlands, the course features sloping greens, narrow fairways, doglegs and water on 17 holes.   Both scenic and challenging, it provides an enjoyable round for golfers of all skill levels.

At the heart of the community is the elegant 10,000 square foot club house and activities center.  This impressive facility features a formal dining room, separate bar and grill room, state of the art fitness center, card rooms, media room, lighted tennis courts and 2,500 square foot pool and spa surround by a large sun deck. Here members enjoy an intimate dinner prepared by one of the club's international chefs or cold refreshments and a casual meal after a round of golf.   In addition, the club has an active social calendar with year around events.

   

Palmira Golf & Country Club

Located on Bonita Beach Road just east of I-75, Palmira Golf and Country Club is nestled on 318 acres of lush tropical paradise.  Here you will find European styled neighborhoods linked by the tree lined boulevards that wind through the club's rolling fairways, fountains, lakes, and nature preserves.  With something for all, residences range from to condos and carriage homes to single family homes, many with stunning fairway, lake and preserve views.

Palmira's highly acclaimed Golf Club features a 27 hole championship course designed by Gordon Lewis. Playing to a par of 72 from any two nines, and up to 7,403 yards, it is home to the Palmira Open.

At the heart of Palmira are its elegant two story, 27,000 square foot clubhouse. Featuring gourmet dining, casual and formal restaurants, a fireside lounge, card and billiards rooms, it is a great place for an evening out or to relax after a round of golf.  Amenities include seven lit Hydor-Grid clay tennis courts and the 68,000 square foot Renaissance Center that features a pool, sun deck, fitness area, massage rooms, men's and women's locker rooms, saunas and spa.

Pelican Landing

Bordered by US 41 and Estero Bay, Pelican Landing is a gated community that encompasses 2,400 acres in Bonita Springs. Winding roadways, majestic live oaks, pines and palms make it an ideal setting for the many exclusive communities. You will find classic condominiums, coach homes and courtyard villas in the neighborhoods of Costa del Sol, Palm Colony, Pinewater, Sandpiper Isle and Sawgrass Point, high-rises at the towers of Sorrento and Merano and single-family estate homes at Bay Cedar, Lakemont and The Cottages

The Landing is famous for its Pelican's Nest Golf Club which features two 18 hole courses designed by noted golf architect Tom Fazio. Ranked as one of the state's top layouts by Golf Digest, The New York Times and the Florida Golfer, both the Hurricane and Gator courses offer a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Abundant wetlands, 33 lakes, rolling fairways, ample bunkering and five sets of tees provide an enjoyable round for all.

Amenities include two dining facilities, 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, a pro shop, a fully equipped fitness center, pool, a 34-acre beach park at the northern tip of Big Hickory Island with hourly water shuttle, shallow craft boat slips and a canoe launch with a scenic boardwalk and picnic area. Rapallo

Rapallo gives an essence of Italy with the diverse collection of paintings and sculptures throughout the community.  Everywhere you go you can see statues that makes Rapallo very unique and stylish.  The Italian concept of this community consists of 540 homes which include coach, courtyard, luxury and terrace homes.

Amenities at Rapallo include a clubhouse, upper and lower pools (one oif the pools is enclosed in a lanai.) with large sundecks, sports club, botanical garden, bocce courts, fishing and BBQ pier, boardwalk, Har-Tru tennis courts, locker rooms, learning center, Olympic lap pool, outdoor cafe and freshwater beach.  Located next to Rapallo is the new Coconut Point Mall with every specialty store imaginable and fine dining. This community is just minutes away from sporting events, medical facilities, and Southwest Florida International airport. 

            

Serrano

Located on West Terry Street between Old 41 Road and U.S. 41 (Richview Court to the east and Barefoot Lane to the west), the site is comprised of approximately 24.02 acres with a 3-1/2-acre gopher tortoise preserve.

Serrano will include 103 total units. Of the 47 single-family home sites, seven will include boat docks and have frontage on the Imperial River, 15 will be lakefront and 25 will be standard.

Also planned are 56 multi-family units. There will be 14 buildings with four units in each building.

River-front homes will be custom designed.  Homes designed for lakefront and standard home sites will range from 2,200 to 3,600 square feet under air.

Amenities  include a gated entrance, clubhouse, swimming pool, a nature walk and a common area park including a boat dock and Canoe Park on the Imperial River with direct Gulf access.

 

   


Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club

Located off of Bonita Beach Road west of I 75, Spanish Wells is a gated golf community nestled on 600 acres in Bonita Springs.  Here you will find an abundance of tropical flowers, fresh water lakes, cascading waterfalls and wooded wetlands.  The community consists of Condos, Coach Homes, Villas and Estate homes all surround by the natural beauty and wildlife of Southwest Florida. 

Designed by Gordon Lewis and Bill Maddox, the Spanish Wells Golf and County Club is one of the most picturesque in the area.  The 27 hole championship layout is played in three eighteen hole combinations which provides variety for its members.  Playing from 4,990 from the red tees to 6,799 yards from the gold, and with water coming into play on most holes, Spanish Wells is a challenge to the low handicapper while still being enjoyable to the average player. Practice Facilities include an aquatic driving range, a pitching and chipping fairway, a separate practice area for sand play and large putting greens.

The new 23,000 square foot club house offers a wide variety of activities and amentias including a main dining room with spectacular views of the East Course's ninth green, an informal grille room, double sided bar, sports lounge, card room, pro shop, and a 5000 square foot state of the art fitness center.  Tennis enthusiasts enjoy the five Har-Tru tennis courts and active tennis program while all are encouraged to take advantage of the spacious pool, bocce courts and many planned activities.

Spanish Wells is a private equity club. Membership is optional for the residents of the community and is available to non-residents.

    
The Brooks

Located midway between Naples and Fort Myers, The Brooks is a 2,532 acre master planned community constructed by the Bonita Bay Group. Nestled among shimmering lakes, majestic palms, undeveloped forests and natural wetlands, The Brooks consists of four distinctively different gated communities.  Shadow Wood and Shadow Wood Preserve offer equity golf and traditional country club living, Spring Run and Copperleaf are bundled golf communities and Lighthouse Bay is a waterfront community where every home features a spectacular water view.

 

 

Shadow Wood & Shadow Wood Preserve

Situated on over 1,200 acres, Shadow Wood is an upscale equity golf community featuring villa, coach, carriage, and single family homes in a lush natural setting.  Residents are eligible for membership in the Shadow Wood Country Club which offers three championship golf courses, two by Bob Cupp and one by Arthur Hills.  Amenities include an elegant 30,000 square foot club house with formal and informal dining, lounge, card rooms, pro shop, men's and women's locker rooms, a nine tennis court complex, pool and full social calendar.

The 7,029 yard North Course overlooks lakes and nature preserves and features mounding and rolling fairways. The South Course at 7,239 yards from the back tees is open and forgiving with large landing areas and numerous lakes and water hazards.  Both course were designed by Bob Cupp, a Golf Digest award winning designer.

Shadow Wood Preserve, just north of The Brooks, is nestled between historic Mullock Creek, Estero Bay and the Bharary Buffer Preserve and contains just 300 coach, villa and single family homes on 440 acres.  Residents are eligible to join the 6,800 yard Arthur Hills Championship Preserve Course which winds through wetlands, marshes and stands of native oaks, slash pines and Sabal palms.  Amenities at this equity club include a beautiful 12,000 square foot club house with daytime dining, a private park on Mullock Creek with tennis, a canoe/kayak launch, picnic pavilion and miles of recreational trails, all in a natural surrounding.  Members also enjoy all the amenities of Shadow Wood Country Club including the two 18 hole golf courses and stunning clubhouse. 

   

Spring Run

Spring Run is a bundled golf community consisting of just 844 garden condos, carriage and single family homes.  The championship layout plays to 7,052 yards from the back tees and winds though the community with water coming into play on 15 holes. Wide fairways and generous landing areas make it playable for golfers of all levels.  Amenities include a club house, pro shop, restaurant, 19th hole lounge, fitness center, pool and four tennis courts.

 

Copperleaf

Copperleaf is a bundled gated community of 570 villas, carriage and single family homes on 336 acres, all with marvelous lake and golf views. The 7,174 yard 18-hole championship course was designed by Gordon Lewis and features an aqua driving range,as well as a putting and chipping area.  The broad rolling fairways and gently sloped Tif Eagle greens make it a fun course for both high and low handicappers.  Amenities include the 13,500 square foot Copperleaf Clubhouse which offers formal and casual dinging, a pro shop, four Har-tru lit tennis courts, a heated pool and Jacuzzi, biking trails and walking paths.

                        

Lighthouse Bay

Lighthouse Bay is a gated waterfront community consisting of attached villas, carriage homes, coach homes and condos, most with gorgeous views of the 44 acres of stocked lakes.  Amenities include The Harbor Club and Spa which offers residents a freshwater beach, boat house and picnic island, health club, Olympic size pool and tennis center.

Town Center and Commons Club

The focal point of The Brooks is the Town Center, complete with a village green and gazebo for outdoor entertainment.
